Land Retreat
May 4 - 7, 2026
The on Land retreat will be held at Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Honolulu Hawaii

The retreat will begin Monday evening May 4th with registration and opening presentation starting at 5:30PM Hawaii time.

Hands on workshop classes will be held Tuesday through Thursday, May 5th, 6th, & 7th, 2026 by;
Karen Montgomery, Judy Fenton, & Angie Lamoree.

You will take all three classes, one from each instructor, each of the three days.
The hands on classes will feature a project focusing on a skill, technique, or style particular to each instructor. Project fabric kits will be provided and included in your class registration fee.
You may bring along your own personal travel machine (We have traveled with ours in a carry-on, in the overhead on the airplane many times) OR sewing machine rentals will be available by a dealership in Honolulu for your use all three days. (pre payment required upon registration). Please make sure to choose machine rental and pay with your registration fee. This is very important! We must have an accurate count to give to the local dealer.
Class/Workshop Fee $699
Class/workshop includes:
~ Three days of wonderful instruction by Karen, Judy, and Angie.
~ Each of the three project fabric kits.
~ Breakfast Buffet provided each day at the Resort.
Hotel accommodations at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa for your overnight stays will be made on your own. This way you can determine the room type & view you would like, and who and how many people will be in each room. Come with your quilting friends! or bring your spouse or your family and extend your stay if you would like and enjoy your vacation in Hawaii.
There is a special rate for our group. Starting at $229/night. May 4-7, 2026 and nights may be added before or after at the special group rate depending on availability at the resort.
...Once you have paid your sewing class registration fee you will receive contact info (via email from Millcreek Sewing) to the Hotel directly to reserve your hotel stay with the special group number to receive the group rates. Our group rates will be available around Dec 31st. PLEASE DO NOT call to reserve your hotel room until you receive the informational email from us.

Karen Montgomery, Angie Lamoree, & Judy Fenton will entertain you from 1-4 pm three of the days. Monday May 11th, Wednesday May 13th & Friday May 15th each will bring to you a different hand work sewing project, teaching you the tricks and techniques they all know and love to share!

There are special group rates available for the ship for our Quilting Group.
Starting at $1,341/per person (based on a family inside, 4 to a room)
Once you have paid your sewing class registration fee you will receive contact info via email from Millcreek Sewing to the group sales director to plan your cruise.

Karen is a quilter, and and loves what she does. You may know her, not because of her designs, but because she is the master mind behind the Nine Patch A Day Group on Facebook, Leader of Sewposium, Summer Sew Along, Brown Bag Mystery, Quiltober and many more programs! She goes live most Sunday evenings to talk about quilting. Her friends and family joke that she is a "recovering" shop owner. Karen owned The Quilt Company, a full-service quilt shop in Allison Park, PA for 28 years. She designs rulers for Creative Grids, including the Quick Trim and Circle Rulers and the Scrap Crazy series of templates. Karen will bring to you her talent, knowledge and expertise in a sewing machine project featuring the Brand NEW Sewposium Exclusive fabric line for 2026!

Angie Lamoree, "Sewposium Sister" and owner of 5 Little Monkeys Quilt Shop (Weaverville, North Carolina) is an enthusiast of all things quilting and sewing. Angie believes that quilting/sewing/crafting is a way to transform thoughts and emotions into beautiful, one-of-a-kind handmade items. And when helping those pieces make their way into the world, she believes in providing the highest-quality fabrics, tools, and supplies along with friendly, supportive help…she prides herself on making sure you will have that experience as well.

Judy Fenton, owner of Millcreek Sewing & Fabric for 28 years and Needle in a Haystack quilting Retreat, has been teaching all over the US and on cruises for 25+ years. Education is her passion. As the coordinator of many regional quilting events over the years such as, Quilting Around Chautauqua, Quilting on the Bayfront, and most recently, Learning on the Lake, you will be assured with Judy and the team at Millcreek - you will enjoy a great program. Judy loves creative quilting projects and has a motto of "Sometimes, a pattern is a just a mere suggestion" She will have you dabbling in a bit of your own creativity as she walks you through an exclusive project.

Registration and Cancellation Policy;

The full registration fee is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

- If you are unable to attend, you may find a replacement attendee and they will pay you for the registration fee. You must notify us by email with the name of the replacement.

- A refund, minus a $100 booking fee, will only be issued if we have an active waitlist AND are able to fill your spot from the official waiting list.

Travel Insurance and Liability;

We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance. Please note that if you use your travel insurance, it typically covers costs associated only with the cruise and/or airline portions of your trip; sewing package fees are not refunded through travel insurance.

Millcreek Sewing and Fabric, its owners, and employees are not responsible for the cost of any medical treatment you may require during the trip. Under no circumstances is Millcreek Sewing and Fabric responsible for the quality of medical care, or lack thereof, you may receive while traveling.

Program Changes;

Every effort will be made to provide the features as described. However, if circumstances beyond our control prevent a scheduled teacher or vendor from attending, we will provide the best substitute experience possible. We will not issue refunds if changes are made by contracted teachers, vendors, or the cruise ship.

Agreement;

By registering for the trip, you agree to the terms outlined above and agree to hold Millcreek Sewing and Fabric harmless against injury, damages, or losses that might occur during the trip.
